So I was talking to my friend on skype and he brought up how he wants a new intro for YouTube. So i figured I'll give it a shot. I wanted it to be different seeing as i mostly messed around with cinema 4d so i tried after effects.


Can i get some feed back on [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The first time I opened AE I didn't even know how to use it.. lol

But for your first attempt, really good IMO!

That's pretty cool and for first try that's tight man. When i first opened After Effects i closed it right away because i thought i would hurt myself.

It's decent for your first try.



First off, shorten the time; 16 seconds is a bit too long.

Try adding a fade out, it wraps up intros nicely.

It's alright for it being your first time. I think I should tell you now, that I can't be super nice about it. You need to know now, that the video you made is waaaay too cluttered with all those particles. You have too much color everywhere but your text. The text takes to long to come into place. I guess you have a wave effect over the text and that is suppose to be a glissen over the letters. Ex. the top of the ocean when the sun is above. Please take none of this as insulting. Take it as advice and use it the next time you make something

Very good for your first time! Only thing I would personally change be making the text move at a faster speed, because the song is a lot faster paced.

For a first attempt, you've done very well!



I would recommend that you keep creating small pieces of work, eventually, you'll be able to create some very nice pieces of work!
