Here's a quick look at the average fps you should be looking to get in some games [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

below is a youtube video of the video card playing minecraft with some tweaks, as it appears you wanted to play that game.

It's not the best card, and it's a little out dated. You should still be able to play some games fine, but don't expect the best performance out of it.

What do you think personally is a good/cheap laptop to run Minecraft and such other games?

Have you ever thought of investing in building a pc?
Great idea, I would spend around 1000 GBP the highest for a beginner but
maybe start at about 600 GBP and upgrade as you go along?
If you wish to request a build, go to the PC Building Forum.

Without knowing a price for a laptop, I would look around at lenovo machines. You can either buy a new one for 400-600 usd that will get the job done, or you can find a used on on ebay for a lot cheaper.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is a little more expensive, but it will last longer than a cheaper priced laptop.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is a cheaper computer, and it wont stay current as long.

Not for steam games, pre-built laptops are a nono for value.
