Well, obviously Professionals make a living off of the game, but yea.

Mainly Streamers make a living off of it. Most people who start off Streaming do a lot of giveaways, in order to get their followers and maybe in the future subscribers. When they do this, their viewers give them things back, like cases and keys. When they rack up a bunch of cases and keys they'll open them, and try to make a profit off of the skins they get.

I watch this one particular streamer who makes $100+ a day from opening cases that his viewers give him for free, to continue streaming.

What's his name, I recently started watching CS:GO on twitch.

There are many streamers that play CS:GO, I watch people like summit1g, ScreaM, and The Original Weed. You should watch them and see what they do when it comes to playing comp matches.

Not sure if this has already been said but you said you can sell a knife for "$23,000.00+" - The 23K knife was a hoax and it wasn't actually sold for that price they just made fake screenshots and evidence, etc.

Other than that, good topic!

Just a few things to help new players that I've picked up on my journey to my current rank of master guardian.

1. Don't be Dicouraged By Smurfs (Players Of High Ranks 2nd Accounts To Troll Low ranks)

2. Learn call outs on your favorite maps and make sure to communicate with your team as much as you can.

3. Don't waste money on cases, yes you can get knives but I've watched streamers spend 700 usd on keys and cases and get about 100 bucks back

4. Learn the grenade spots on your favorite maps they help greatly.

5. Practice head shots on offline with bots mode, every time you miss a head shot type kill In console as a negative consiquence, this will help muscle memory.

6. Find your sensitivity, most players like between 400-600 dpi on there mouse and 2.5 to 3.0 sensitivity in game (depends on your game play if your a room checker or sniper)

7. If you can watch some of the global elite game play on youtube or the cs:go championships, you can learn a lot. For instance I've learned that csgo isn't about the bomb plant it's map Control and picks.

8. If you have a bot, most maps are easier to hold B so stack 3 A and 1 B with a quick rotate if needed. (Also tell bot to hold in spawn)

9. If one of your positions is losing every time switch what players go where. It will help if you switch the A and B players.

10. On CT, Play site and contol the map, it's ok yo push up for a quick pick if you can safely do so but I would recommend just staying site since they need to rush you.

11. Learn as much as you can from youtube and other players you play with. Try to make a functional team of 5 that are around the same rank, don't talk to much, and have mics.

12. Warm up in casual, death match, or offline with bots before going into competitive, this will help you get your muscle memory working and will make you better all around.

13. Last but most importantly, have fun! I've noticed players that play too long or lose the fun aspect of the game tend to get upset or do worse. Remember having fun is the goal and of you can do it while playing well it will make a better experience for you and all that are playing with you too!

How do you tell the bot to stay/stand in a specific area? Push Z, then the commands 'window' pops up, use those? I didn't know the bots listened to those commands.

Yeah, the best command to give is (Z>4 - "Hold Position") straight at spawn so the bot will just stand at spawn safely, so when someone in your team dies he will still be alive & not dead after charging up mid at round start

It is a little buggy & the bot doesn't always listen, but if the bot has listened to you, they will reply with "Roger That", "Affirmative" or something along those lines.

Read this guide and it will usually work 100% of the time.

Asiimov you mite want to add this little trick on counter-strike that not that much people know about:

The "Medium" Grenade throw

Left click equals long throw
Right click equals a little throw
Left click plus Right click held in equals medium grenade throw

No problem, like to help where I can

Another tip to add on to that is be careful with the bomb.

On T side, always pass the bomb directly to a team mate, never drop it on the floor, the BOT will automatically run to pick it up, regardless if you commanded him to hold position & on CT side if the bomb is planted, he will run to defuse it, regardless of orders/commands you gave.

I'm not sure if you know or not, but bots only listen to in-game commands once the round has started (when the timer hits 0). I used to see a lot of lower ranks spamming the commands straight away and it never helped anyone.
