Eh, more or less, the contract part is you agreeing to pay that network this amount for this service over this period of time.
The phone is part of it because of the subsidy they give you when you buy it but its not affected by selling the phone, the phone would only be affected if you stopped paying the bill.


Another question, why is my phone worth like $600-$800? I only paid like $200 for it?

That is what the phone costs if you go out and buy one new and pay it off fully that day. iPhones are quite expensive!
