We've just finished studying China (1800-1981) and the girl I sit next to goes "I'm not even sure communism is a real thing".

It was a real face palm moment.

You'd be surprised how many of them probably aren't just acting.. I get what your saying but, I'd go as far as saying that it's on both sides and not solely females.

What if she assumed the people around her were dumb and thus made them predictable? So if she could be predictable than you wouldn't do a double take and stop and stare?
