Okay so here is the results of my download speed and upload speed.

This is just sad:

My ISP is Windstream.
Any ideas on how to increase my internet speed? Or do you recommend a different ISP?
Cause this is getting to be ridiculous, i 2 and 1 bar every time in COD, minecraft is lag heaven. I can't enjoy any game, or anything on the internet without it being extremely slow and laggy.

Getting a high-gain aftermarket router would be the cheapest solution, but would only be applicable if you have decent speeds provided by your ISP. Obviously, if you're signed up for a 5 down 1 up package w/ Windstream, you're not going to get optimal performance. Now, say you were paying for 25 down and 5 up -- then you'd benefit from an aftermarket router.
The last thing you'd want to do is switch ISPs, it's always a hassle to get people out to your house and rewire things and possibly even charge you more for what you have now, so be wary about that stuff before making a decision. Worse case scenario is that you're stuck with your ISP for one reason or another and you can't do much with your connection / speeds. The only thing you can do then really is hardwire your console to the router and hope for the best.

Maybe your ISP throttles your connection that's what most isps do

My Router is hardwired to my console. And I try'd to call them over the problem, and they said they would fix a big issue in my area, in a week. They never did. They were post to call us back to. To be honest. I'd rather go with Dial-Up.

No, they don't.
Bandwidth throttling is a symptom you'd receive for going over your monthly cap or if you were caught pirating and received letters from your ISP telling you to stop. Besides, OP says he's experiencing "2 and 1 bar" connections to his games which is a connection strength issue and not a bandwidth one.

Ask whoever pays the bill what you're paying for. It's obvious that you're not getting what you're subscribed too, there's no modern ISP around that offers >1Mbps down / up speeds. You should really ring up Windstream and have something done about that, chances are if you're speed is that bad, you probably have a pretty bad router too (these go hand-in-hand).

Yeah man, my father pays the bill, and he barely knows crap about this stuff. So it's up to me. Lol.
And my speeds are extremely bad, sometimes they are even worse than the pic i provided. And we try'd that once, we got a new router. Still same problem.
And they will be hearing a call from me. Not a nice one either.

I too know what it's like to have Internet that sucks ass. At peak download speeds, I get around 50-60 KBs. My friends that live literally a minute away get speeds of 10mb and all AT&T tells us is "it's the best we can do." Yeah right. I shouldn't even have to pay for Internet this terrible.

Not the best at explaining this but hopefully you'll understand what I'm on about.
A few months back my internet connection started to get a lot worse, its already bad speeds, I usually get 3mb download, 0.5 upload and around 60 ping, it then dropped to around 0.3 download, 00.3 upload and around 300-400 ping.
I found out that it was a new microfilter we plugged into the wall for the phone and internet that made it a lot worse, could be same with you.
