I'm looking to get a multimedia/gaming console for myself, and I've decided on either an Xbox One or an Alienware Alpha. I already have a gaming computer, but it's quite large which is a downside.I like both Steam and Xbox Live equally, even though I am leaning more towards steam. I do like both, but I would like some peoples opinions before I go spending $500+.
Thank you
Thank you

If you all ready have a gaming machine, look into steam home streaming. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
You can get a small pc, hook it up to your tv, and stream games off of your gaming pc to that.
I tested it out on on my small laptop, and I was able to get great FPS on high settings in the other room.

If you have a laptop, try testing it out to see how your performance is. If it works for you, I would recommend looking into an intel nuc. They are relatively small, and have some decent specs. You would be able to put it anywhere where the TV is, and stream all your games/movies to it.
