What is this pc going to be used for?

General use really but I am going to be using it for gaming too

Maybe don't. AM3+ is a dead socket and performs poorly. RM650 is a horrible quality PSU. R7 250 is wayyyy too low end for a £600 budget rig.

Since you specifically want the H440, you sacrifice quite a bit of performance, simply for aesthetics. ATX board since the H440 will look ridiculous with an mATX board. You can upgrade to a 4690k and overclock if you wish. SSD for OS, faster boot/load times, and so on.

I can up the price a little if that will help the quality of the build in any way, I won't go over 700 pound though&ill be alright with just the ssd for a while until I need more memory

If I was you I would not be so worried about the case as if you drop it and add that 100 pounds you could make a fantastic build that'll never have issues maxing any game that you throw at it on a 1080p monitor due to the GTX 970 being great, plus you could try your hand at 4K gaming and maintain a reasonably playable framerate.

I would honestly drop the case and get something like this;

There may be a few tweaks that can be done to help performance as I'm sure someone with more knowledge will point out. But this will definitely yield much better performance all round and do you more favors than a "fancy" case will.

PSU is horrible. If you don't need a GTX 970, R9 280 will be fine but why would you pay extra for overclockable components, instead of more GPU performance? Just grab a 4440 and B85 chipset motherboard and spend more on an SSD.
