My favourite player of all time has to be Lord Bendtner.
Did you know he has scored more goals then Messi in the BPL?
He is a god!

Rick Rypien

The story of how he got to where he did (NHL, Vancouver Canucks) is incredible. A rookie who was overlooked due to being quite small compared to other players and was not given a chance by anyone until one day, he was given a shot.. That shot saw him make it to the AHL's Manitoba Moose, impress them and be called up by the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL. Ryper scored in his first game. Doesn't sound like much but he worked harder than i bet any current NHL'er does to get where he did, fought guys 6" taller than him.. Never backed down. He also battled with Mental Illness during his career which did affect him badly but with each leave of absence he took, he came back a stronger person and player after. Unfortunatly in the Summer of 2011, Rick passed away aged 27, it's thought that he took his own life due to his Depression but there was never any offical confirmation.
A Great guy, great role model and a great inspiration.
