You mentioned unrealistic.. Please tell me where writing names in a book to kill people is realistic.. I understand that it needs a few tweaks done to it but doesn't all anime need a few tweaks to them? But disregard the fact that SAO is "unrealistic", because enough people must have liked the show for the producer to make another season..

Yeah SAO is pretty crap the first season half way through was ok then it got sh*t after that

In fairness i don't consider Sword Art Online "Bad" in any respect, hell i quite enjoyed the light novels and found comparing the anime adaptation to the novels interesting. From my observations over the past ~2 years since i was watching the original series weekly the primary reason that people hate on it is due to it being a mediocre adaptation, yet getting more attention than some of the more high quality shows out there (i.e. have any of you ever heard of a show called "Towards the Terra", of course you haven't, yet you have people who have only watched 1-2 shows making it out that SAO is the next coming of christ) in hand with the mainstream "I hate it because is popular" mentality. As such it is made out to be much better than it is by relatively new anime viewers, and due to this it is made out to be much worse than it is by veteran anime viewers. Whilst in reality it is really just a decent 6.5/10 watch

I don't consider this a terrible anime. Yeah after the first half of season 1 it went from a survival to a romance really quick. Personally I only like the SAO MMO Part and the part about Death Gun. Those 2 events made me keep watching the anime. This is no where near a bad anime for me, actually an enjoyable one. People are gonna hate on popular anime just as they would hate on Naruto and One Piece. Just because it's popular you don't have to hate on it, but I do agree the fact the this show went downhill after the first half of season 1, but that doesn't make me hate SAO.
