-Wilkes- wrote I've come to the conclusion they should just get rid of the web app. If they do that they block all coin farming bots at once.
Or they should kick the web app offline for a couple minutes every half an hour or so just to boot the bots out.

I know it would be a step backwards for ultimate team if they got rid of the web app, but it really would stop the coin selling problem 99%.

Personally i'd rather have a fair game than a web app.

They could do this and keep the phone companion app maybe?

I am fairly certain that coin sites have a way of maintaining coins even when the web app is down? I heard somewhere that they know a way to glitch the system or something but I highly doubt it anyway but taking down the web app would only make it so there is a limited supply of coins(ones all the bot accounts hold right now which could be billions)

Yeah but a limited supply is a lot better than an unlimited supply. + They could then start to go through accounts, find the ones that have 10s of millions (clearly bot accounts) and start banning them. Not saying it would be an instant fix but it would certain help, and if they kept it like that for fifa 16 it would eradicate the problem completely.
+ Unless they have an inside man at EA it is impossible to use the web app when it is completely down for everyone.

+ Staggie: Yeah exactly, everything you can do on the web app you can do on companion so why have both anyway?

I know it would be extreme to just remove the web app but they need to do something.

I dont see a problem with buying coins I thought it was ridiculous at the start of fifa I had like an 80 rated team I was coming up against legends and like 85 rated teams.Thats why I bought coins I kept getting destroyed by these teams so the odds are even now.

That is exactly why it needs to be stopped. People buy coins right at the start and just cheat their way through the whole process.

Don't know what console your on but on Playstation its currently less than 8GBP for 1 million coins, as a result players are stupidly expensive. For example Bale is worth over 1 million coins. Toure is over 400k. Now imagine how somebody playing ghte game legitimately would feel knowing they would have to play around 400 games to save up enough to buy Toure, only for some other kid to buy him for a couple pound.

Its all well and good saying there's no problem buying them, i personally agree that there is no problem buying them, i dont blame people for buying them. But its how cheap they are now that it is getting out of hand.

Whether or not Ultimate team is playable legitimately rests on a knife edge, and its at its tipping point.

People that dont want to buy coins have no choice but to do so otherwise they cant compete.

One thing I can say is that when you play legit, and open packs.

The feeeeling you get when that player popps up thats worth anything over like 100k, Has you jumping.

FIFA 13 I ran downstairs and into my garden screaming when I got messi, and thats something buying coins cant give you.

Also, I think the people with worse teams have a little more fun trying to beat teams with 99 Ronaldo ft 98 Messi in them.

Just saying.

The problem is the game is not set up to be played on a level playing field. Even without coin sellers the game is uneven as some players will always have more money than others to invest into the game. And you also have the problem of the people who can afford alot of fifa points getting the game early through EA's own schemes and having the ability to spends 1000's of fifa points before the majority of the players even have the game.

Added on to the fact that its incredibly hard to play 'Legit' as the best gold pack costs 7,500, compared to the avg of 500-600 coins you might get after every game.

I have bought around 6-7 million coins in FIFA 15, not all at once, but over the weeks. I've stopped buying packs because what are the chances of me getting a player valued over 1 million in the amount packs? Like you said, 1 million is around 8-10 and I highly DOUBT I could get 1 million in return. Messi, Ronaldo and various legends... I have a nice team with Messi, Neymar and Robben in, I wonder how long it would take me to get the team I have by playing seasons and buying fifa points, or I could go and buy a couple mill from ebay and wait a few hours to get the players I want.

I know what you mean, but coins are just so cheap, people just buy them to get packs, EA are just shitting on themselves.
