So, i was sliver 5 last season and i started playing ranked this week, I was doing really good and got 7-3
And guess what happened? I got Bronze III
(100% sure i got bronze was because of the sliver 5) Has anyone else have this happen to them?

The system that they used this year is a soft reset meaning that you will be placed lower and climb much faster. It makes it a lot easier to climb ranks. the formula for this is (last seasons mmr+1200/2)

Yeah I noticed that when I played after my placement games, now I get 30 lp for every win.

1st Ranked season, went 8-2 and got placed in Gold IV.

Would say that's fairly decent.

Great job for your first season! Did you play tons of normal games in season 4?

Yup. Ended the preseason in Silver II. Went 7-3 in placements and got Bronze I. I've been in my promos to Silver V twice now. Lost both. It seems my teams slay the early game but can't win team fights. QQ.
