So last year I attended a public school.I played last year at the public school, all fine, except my knee surgery which put me out most of the season due to travel baseball. I transferred to a Charter school this year due mainly because better education and better chances at scholarships, don't get me wrong, I loved my old school mainly because of my friends which I played travel baseball and school baseball and I have known them my whole life. But, the state denied me to be able to play baseball this year since I did transfer schools and not move houses. I really don't know why they denied me, in the letter to the state I stated why I had moved (better education.. blah blah..) and I just find it crazy and really stupid that they denied me, I have a 3.89 GPA and I am currently taking the highest level classes that our school offers.
I am only a sophomore and I know I have two more years to play, but it just bothers me knowing that I should be allowed to play. I can still practice and workout with the varsity, but it isn't the same if I am going to be grinding and putting in work for a spot when in reality, I can't get it until next year.

I agree, if your good then they will start you. If your not then that's why they arnt starting you. Also i don't know this, but if your doctor isn't allowing you to play then don't play. For any sport I have played my coaches tell me to even disregard doctors for certain injuries.

Sadly, I can't do this. It wasn't the schools choice for me whether I got to play or not, it was the states. The coaches and the athletic director wanted me to play and all, so they tried everything to get it passed, but the state sadly denied me.
PS I can still practice and workout with the varsity team either way. So, I can just go out and have fun but not play.. I knew there was a chance this would happen, so I'm okay with it. I will just go and get better (you can always get better) and get ready for next season!

What state do you live in? That's an idiotic rule they have in place. Who cares if you transferred schools but not houses??
