Sky is awful for me, 4MB download and 0.6 upload, changing to plusnet soon, got estimated speeds of 60MB download in my area.

I pay $60/month for 130Mb/s Down and 30Mb/s up.

Sucks to live where they don't have good internet, trust me, I know the feeling.

I would upgrade your internet if you want to play online games with decent connection.

Another problem is what time you're playing at. If you're playing during peak hours in your city, you most likely will not be getting as high internet speeds as say if you were playing during the middle of the night/early morning.

DLS wrote I have been fed up with my internet for a few years. We pay for 10 Mbps (2 megabytes) and we get around 1 on a good day. It's really sad actually. I was wondering if this is legal, as it does say up to; it's still really pathetic knowing how much we pay a month ($32.00). It's impossible to play COD, or any FPS game. I'm on a 1 bar/ 300 ping most of the day. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
My internet speed is much worse than yours trusts me... I play Call of Duty just fine except I never have a 4 bar unless I'm hosting a private match. A 4 MB update will take like 30 minutes. :stern:

DLS wrote I can't. The only one that I could pick is Time Warner Cable. Except they want $4,000 to put a line of wire down my road. Apparently, not enough people live on my road to be eligible.

I'm in the same exact situation as you. I have frontier and it is absolutely terrible. Recently, it hasn't been working at all. This is my download/ upload speed.
