The title says it all, I'd like to know what the best way to host a runescape private server is, I'd like it as cheap as possible, however i don't mind spending the money if need be.
Thankyou.
-=EDITTT=-
I want to know where i can BUY the hosts, e.g where i can buy a virtual server, i'm already aware of the few ways people are able to host their server.

There are a couple of methods but I would recommend a Virtual Server
A virtual server is a virtual computer you will have access to for a small payment. It is ran by the RuneScape private server host with a dedicated IP address and RAM memory. This will allow your players to access your server without you having to hassle with Port-forwarding/changes to your firewall. This server will be up 24/7 and is usually easy to maintain. They are easily accessible through your control panel on the RuneScape private server hosts website. I would suggest picking the closest RSPS host to you. That way you will receive a great connection speed!
The amount of ram you choose will depend on the version of RuneScape you are running for your RuneScape private server, how customised your RSPS, and how many players you are expecting to have. The higher version of your RSPS, the more processes it has to run to keep the RSPS up. I would suggest at least 2GB fora 525+ RSPS with custom items. Any 317 leading up to 525 needs at least 1GB (1.5GB to be on the safe side).
The more files you have, the more space you will need on your virtual server. If you plan on making an intense server with several players, and storing additional backups, I would suggest at least 15GB disk space. To be sure you have enough space for your files. Bandwidth is the level of traffic allowed on your network. The more connections that are made to the server, the more bandwidth will be needed. Also, with small servers, the more bandwidth you have, the faster the connection will be for all players on your RSPS. Make sure to AVOID unlimited bandwidth as much as possible. With these options you can encounter slower connections because it is not metered and is often shared with other customers of the RuneScape private server host.
The more cores you have on your processor, the faster your server will process. I would go no lower than 2-3 cores for a small server.
If you need further assistants feel free to message me via PM.

Just Google for a VPS or use your own pc until you get player base as most RSPS crash into the ground within the first month or two, gl

For 30/month I used GoDaddy, amazing servers for such cheap prices! I was getting amazing internet speeds and customer service when the server went down. I would recommend them but its up to you.
