Catfish - Being deceived over facebook (any social media) as the deceiver professed their romantic feelings to his/her victim, but isn't who they say they are.
One of my friends got catfished the other day and it really hurt him man, never seen him this way and before anyone goes on about "stop internet dating and go out and get a real girl" dont even bother because its not like he or really anyone mainly focuses on online dating. Just so happens that they "met" online, no big deal its modern times I see nothing wrong with it, and neither should you.. (but if you do thats fine we all have different opinions)
I just dont get it, why pretend to be someone youre not like literally, she planned the whole thing out. fake pictures fake snapchats, fake everything..
Have you ever been catfished? And why, why would someone feel like being a fake person? and toying with emotions?

People are insecure and unconfident about themselves. And they're are also sick people who get a kick out peoples misery.
You should watch the show. It's pretty interesting. Unsure if it scripted or not but it gives you an idea of why people do it.

I seen the show its so wrong what they do but I think if someone can do that to someone else and trick them into thinking its someone else they dont deserve anyone since they have the cheek to lie.

They think that the use of being a "catfish" is linked to Schizophrenia, it can be the effect of a mental illness.
Also people who are "Sick" in the head with again (Mental Illness's) of any kind may be bored and need companionship but dont realize how to communicate so think that's the best way, through a 3rd party person. In this case a fictional Facebook account.
I think this is the correct way of looking at it and not people who just want to be cruel to others and playing with other peoples emotions.
