Only thing that angers me is when people brag and belittle people with less fortunate clothing.
Other than that. It's their money, I don't see how it's affecting you. If someone wants to spend loads of money on clothing then let them.

One thing i like about being in school in UK, you wear a uniform, too much hassle wearing your own clothes for school imo

I will agree that people doing it for the purpose of popularity is stupid. Although, some people may just like higher quality clothing simply because they're more comfortable. While they shouldn't be worried about what people think about them I would also have to say you shouldn't be worried about what they're doing with their money. When it's all said and done "popular" people will just be people after finishing school. They may still have that little circle of friends they had but, they'll still be your average everyday person nonetheless.

MarshMods wrote I agree with you, but these things will never change. When my kids have kids the same thing will be going on. That's how social classes and created and really what they thrive off of. For instance, when I was in high school there was a really ugly kid. I usually don't judge but I mean, he was pretty ugly. Anyway, he wore like buckle everyday and the occasional Versace. He was popular because of this. I don't know, I wish that this wasn't the case but kids are so judgmental
i was about to say maybe he was a genuinely a nice guy but since when did people like others for being nice?

because you have to look the part, be unorthodox wear new white shoes & you'll stand out more than everyone wearing black shoes..
people that care about their appearance have to look unique to show that there not the same as everyone else although it's not necessarily true you feel above or better then the other kids putting no effort into what they look like, just an ego boost & more attention leading to be more 'Popular' really..

It's called being brainwashed sir. All of these products are made from the same cheap materials by the same poor people in sweatshops. But a different logo justifies a huge price increase apparently.

I enjoy wearing a high quality clothing item every now and then, it makes me feel good. I do work with high-end fashion a lot though and spend a lot of time looking at mens fashion, both high end and contemporary so would much rather spend a bit more for a good quality piece than something cheap which will die out in quality over time.
If they're purposely flexing whilst it obviously being their parents money it does get annoying but it's probably more the parents pushing it on them.
But I guess each to their own, they spend money on clothes, you choose to spend it on gaming.
