When you sell him for 15mil you lose 750k because of ea tax so there's no point that's why there's none on the market same with TOTY Ronaldo

As soon as they are listed the autobidders out an instant 15m bid on, the same with TOTY Ronaldo. Therefore if you make this deal and the player gets listed then you are out of the 5m deposit and you won't get the player.
A solution is buying the account off the person but again comes risks. Is he really worth it ? Pele..
