I am looking to buy a new Gaming PC very soon and wanted some ideas or do's and dont's.
I already have peripherals so they don't need to be included.
Thanks.

I'm not to sure about overclocking, is it worth it and what are the risks?
'Soon' can be in the next couple of days to a month.

Prices will probably have changed in a month and some new components may have been released by then. You're better asking for a suggestion within a week before purchasing. Regardless, we can't help without a currency. Overclocking does give a performance increase, but it costs more and it can be a pain if you don't know what you're doing. In cheaper rigs, it's not worth it because you have to sacrifice performance elsewhere, GPU for example. For your budget, it may make sense, but only if you're willing to overclock.

Most people put $ when they mean dollars. But people with pounds currency don't put anything so it's obviously pounds.....

It's not "obviously" anything. OP never specified a budget and we can't help until he does. It could be euros, CAD, NZD, USD, or even rupees for all you know.
