My build comes out to around $500 and I need to if this is a good gaming PC build that I can rely on. Thank you.

$500 PC can be better than a next gen console.

I'm not so good with computers. but i think with the money you have, you can get a better one.

I'd get something like this

$15 over after rebates but if you cant afford it get just 4GB of ram and add another 4GB of ram in the future.

Use the I5's GPU until you can get a bit more money and invest into a dedicated GPU.

I'd get the i3 rig that DCFC suggested. Keep in mind though, the 4160 is Haswell refresh, so you'll need either an H97 or Z97 chipset motherboard, or an Intel 8 series motherboard with a BIOS update.

Spend a little extra and get the CM N200 instead if you wish.
