I need an external HD for my Xbox one. I'm out of storage. What is a good HD to get?

leadfoot93 wrote I got this one for its size, I didn't want a huge 3.5" enclosure. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
I grabbed it for 69 on sale before Christmas
if your trying to save a few dollars you could go this way..... for seagates anything under 3tb doesnt have a built in fan on top of that its a plastic case so it wont dissipate the heat as well as a metal enclosure.
so to be blunt if you buy under 3tb in a seagate its not worth it they will overheat and fry the hard drive after average use.(not to mention you will only save like $30 by getting the 2tb instead of 3tb) id look into a wd passport if going under 3tb.

---Hazard--- wrote whats the best seagate hard-drive to get off of amazon then as i was going to get this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
and if what you say is true that if its under 3tb it will over heat as it has no fan should i just get it in the 4TB
the link you sent was for a 3tb... it will be perfectly fine only go larger if you need to for space reasons. i had the 3tb for a yr before i switched to the 5tb never had a problem with it played lots of games off that drive instead of the internal one never once got hot to the touch like it does in the under 3tb models( ive owned one of those too) also as a side note i dont have my ext hd in a closed in area it sits on top of my entertainment center for better airflow.
