Why is Bungie pretty much forcing us to buy the DLC? I got on destiny today to do the nightfall and heroic, of course they were DLC. Even the daily mission was DLC. Its not fair on the players who dont have the DLC, maybe they cant afford it. The only thing Bungie had to say about this was "Weekly and daily events will be a mixture of old and new content" (paraphrased).
Lots of people have made a suggestion to add a vanilla strike playlist to allow players to do the nightfall and heroic even if they dont have the DLC. Bungie dont seem to have acknowledged this. Now im a huge fan of destiny and i have been a loyal fan of bungie for years, but this seems like they are only in it for the money. I mean, all of the DLC from the dark below is already on the disc, the only thing you pay for when you buy the DLC is the activation. I dont know about you, but that seems shady to me. I only wish that bungie would have a little more consideration for the fans that dont have certain content, cos that means that they will be locked out of some activities that they should be able to do in the first place.
Rant over, go ahead and criticize, i dont really care.

Over the years there has been an increase in expansions. Before expansions used to be nearly brand new games like The Lost and Damned/The Ballad of Gay Tony on GTA IV.
Nowadays, it's a rip off. Especially with sports games, and second with fps games. Microtransactions are the absolute worst, and the companies resort to techniques that make you feel like you need them to make themselves some more money. What they're doing is no worse than supermarkets that put sweets and comics by the checkouts so little kids throw a tantrum leaving 40% of parents to buy them to get their kids to shut up.
You can rant as much as you want, it pisses me off as well but it's just going to get worse as time goes on. They have as much right to try to sell their overpriced products as you do to buy them. You also have the right to not buy the DLC, I know it can be boring when your friends are all of playing it but try and find games that has years of playability without DLC, like Pokemon.

Greetings weeb. Autist-culler here.
I've always hoped to catch an anime-loving dunce on his own in my territory
Me and the lads will introduce you to a little bit of the ol' neurotypicality whilst pilfering your pucelage
What's the appeal in scantily-clad voluptuous vixens of evident adolescence?
The mind boggles!
OT: No one is forcing you to buy anything. Disengage the automatic eye lubrication.

Glad I stopped playing Destiny, it was obvious this was gonna happen once they said the game had a 10 year span.
Stopped playing after 2 weeks, never played a game so boring.
Only way Destiny will last for 10 years is if they release DLC every week.

There's an error in your post.
*Activision is pretty much making you buy the DLC.
Activision is an overseer for games and DLC. We should've expected it to be bad when it was being published by the company that brings Copy of Paste every other year.

If you don't like it, don't play it.
No one forces you to buy anything, its like CoD no one forces you to buy DLC but there is always a advantage in buying it.
I play destiny nearly everyday, almost 32 on 3 characters but all i can say once Skyrim Online comes out, Destiny will be like CoD Ghost.

It feels to me that players who dont/cant get the DLC are being pushed away from a great game. Plus, bungie has made multiple changes since the DLC came out that essentially makes the games loot pool worse for players who dont have it.
For example, you used to get a cryptarch engram for lvl 24 strikes in the playlist. After the DLC came out, You only get a cryptarch engram for lvl 26 strikes.

I bought the expansion pass so I don't have a problem with it.
Also the missions are chosen at random.
