Everything you said was what i am looking for in comments/feedback. Yes i do use FL Studio. By any chance you have tips for anything from sound design to mastering to just getting ideas for making songs?
Basically, self experience is the best thing. You can listen to other peoples work and compare, but originality is better. If you take time to create samples and add the best fitting one into the song it might help. Fiddling around with sounds will help navigate your decision on what you want it to exactly sound like. Hopefully my advice is helping, but all you need to work on is small stuff; which is very important.
