So I have searched this up on Google before, but I never really got a clear answer. What is the difference between a Mix-tape and an album?

A mix-tape is non-profit (free) as opposed to an album that costs money.

A mix tape is free and it is like a project to see if people like the music. Once a mixtape does good an artist will make an album which cost money.

But Drake had put out a mix tape recently and it costs $12.49

Mix-tape I think may be a little less organized album and a album has songs written spesifcally for that album and is mre organized idk, I'm pretty sure its the same shit.
