My system was supposed to use about 500 watts and I use an RM650 as well. The fan *never* spins up and I honestly think I could add in a second GTX 780 without any issues at all.

Just because it hasn't blown up yet, doesn't mean it's good. I owned graig's RM650 before I gave it to him, and it was fine, but now that I know more about PSU's, I won't be buying a Corsair PSU, unless it's one of the AX series. RM450, RM550, RM1000 and RM650 are all CWT OEM, which is horrific. I'm pretty sure that they all have the worst capacitors you can use in them, as well. RM750 and RM850 are Chicony OEM, which is slightly better than CWT as far as I'm aware, but still not great.
