It doesn't work like that guys.

An "xex" file is basically the item that starts up a program, very similar to an "exe" file on a computer. All of the little extra files (like fastfiles) save information necessary to run the program. It says "look here for 'patch_mp.ff' and run that code to make such and such happen".

Could you take the exe file out of Sony Vegas and put it into Adobe After Effects and have everything magically working? Nope.

Yes, but don't you think Microsoft has thought of this exact same thing? This is one of the largest companies in the world so I highly doubt they will be making stupid little mistakes that demean their products.

But hey, there is no point in not trying, so keep it up.

which is why this guy thats trying all this is inserting all the files into a game..... read next time. If sony vegas had all the files in after effects it would boot....
