Seeing as many of us have attempted running our own site, I decided to make this topic debating which forum softwares are the best. I've personally used just about all of them, and must say it's a close match up between IPB and XenForo for me, and I couldn't choose one over the other. What about you guys? Leave a vote in the poll and reply saying why/why not!

My choice: XenForo
Why?: XenForo is rarely used when it comes to forums. The only major site with XenForo is TTG's competitor, and I love the style. There are to many upcoming forums that use IPB as they think it's a great choice, when in reality it's a terrible choice because it's over used and there isn't very much customization to it. Yes you can add some plugins and change the looks of it, but you really can't design it the way you want. I wish people that would start up a forum would read up on design and stuff like that instead of looking at the possibility of becoming popular in a short amount of time.

Interesting choice, I can dig it. I enjoy both IPB and XenForo, but I must say XF is a little better, user-friendly wise. I can code much better in IPB, but the people like XenForo. Nice one

My personal opinion would have to say "vBulletin."
I have used vBulletin for probably 3 years
now and there hasnt been any issues with it.
I'ts very easy to work with and very well made.
I love it and you would too!

I like IPB and MyBB from personal experience. Plugins are easy to install and the coding is fairly simple.

I prefer XenForo over the others, lots of sites that i use such as Bukkit and Spigot use it so I've found it the easiest to use.
