Hello everyone I want to know how you guys feel about your country's education system. What do you think is right? What is unnecessary? What needs to be changed?
In my opinion I think that schools teach a lot of very good necessary information but I feel that they teach too much unneeded things just to try to fill up time. The kids shouldn't be stressed out so much over unneeded classes that are for some reason required. What do you guys have to say? Please respect everyone's opinion.

Well, considering I've dropped out of high school my junior year. I'm going to college after getting my GED. I think it's a good system.

They need to evaluate teachers better here in the U.S., I'm a very smart student but some teachers who are just plain imbeciles cause me to get bad grades. Example: Math teacher counts you wrong if you show work differently than she teaches you or if you DON'T use a calculator!

Can't agree anymore. For example this year in my Spanish class(which I think is ridiculous that it is required)I had a B but then my teacher had to leave because she was having a baby now I have a long term sub from Chile I don't understand a word she's saying now my grade is starting to drop. Or how about when you have one English teacher who grades papers off what is logical and then you have another who grades them off of what she thinks is right. I just don't get it man.

Well i live in the dumbest state in america (nevada) lolol and i honestly say its a 50-50 thing.

Like some of my teachers are basically robots and it seems like theyre just reading from a script and make the class just puure uninteresting. And that makes it hard to not stay focused and engaged in your class work or thers teachers like my math teacher who can barely speak english....

But at the same time, there are kids that just dont care or have zero common sense.

I hate our education system. We are expected to learn & be successful at subjects A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H. We spend 20 years building towards that and many of us will end up landing jobs working with X, Y, or Z.

Get what I'm saying?

A lot of teachers/principals are power hungry and abusive. Some teachers need to get fired for their behavior or insults. It's not okay, regardless of your position. Don't say something to me and not expect me to say something back.

I think schools should focus less on having 20 different types of dance classes and pointless classes that usually end up in favoritism like weight lifting and focus more on classes like uhmmm idk maybe math... considering all through high school I either had teachers who were fresh and when I say fresh I mean first year teaching and weren't sure how to teach properly or old teachers who were on their last year of school so we did nothing but what movies. Needless to say I didnt learn a whole lot of math in high school and some might think thats cool but its really not...

+1 to this. I get what you're saying about the favoritism. Usually the popular kids are treaty better by teachers even though they are bad in class, and they get away with it. They can do things 10 times as bad as people who aren't as popular and teachers just don't care.

Were required to waste so much of our time on unnecessary subjects that we fail to find the time to focus on the career we want to pursue. Why can't we base what we as individuals learn off of our careers?
