Rumble is good, very useful in teamfights. the top lane champs i prefer to use are Sion, Jarvan IV hes better top lane than in the jg imo, Irelia is pretty strong atm, Lissandra is very good since her w is good against melee top laners. Those champs are pretty much what helped me get to gold.

First of all, you should't main a lane, you just reached 30.

Then you won't know anything about the other roles or champions.

My suggestion to you is, before you go into ranked, give all roles a try.

Don't "main" a lane when you're so new to the game, maybe you'll find a different role much more enjoyable once you get into it a bit more.

Do as you like, but my suggestion for you is to wait with ranked, and play a lot more normals and try everything out, and then later once you get a rank, then I'd say go for a main role. BUT that's just my oppinion

Well I obviously know how to play other roles but I need to main top lane for my team though

With that mentality you're going to be stuck in bronze/silver forever. You need to be open to all the lanes and communicate with you team. You may want to play top, but you might not be high up in the pick order of champion select. You should just learn some good champions to play for each lane in normal queue, and then once you feel confident in every role, start playing ranked.

If you walk into a game and call out top and refuse to go any other lane, your team (more often than not) will have poor communication and start arguing before the game starts.

You're just level 30 - how many normal wins do you have?

In all seriousness, you probably are bronze/low silver ELO - you have barely started playing the game.

Play every role till it bores you, the only way to win is to know how the enemy team will play, not just how toplaners work.

Also, remember you have a theoretical 20% chance of getting the lane you want.

In general you want to pick champs that you actually feel comfortable with.

Jax

These are usually what I see in my plat games. But play whatever you want.
