So i just bought the R9 270 to put in my PC but the graphics cards go over the SATA (i think that's what they are) cable ports so do i need too get a new motherboard now? i have the AMD A8 6600K btw

The GPU is blocking your SATA ports? You could probably get some L-shaped cables and squeeze them in.

There should be. Unless your GPU is sagging on to your motherboard, there should be enough space for L-shaped SATA cables.
