Hi i have a PC my self. I have shown you all it, but i have a friend that wants me to build him a computer solely for gaming. Can you give me a parts list, since i suck at picking parts?

Budget: 1800 us dollars
Usage: Gaming

Do i need the following?
Monitor: Yes
Keyboard: Yes
Mouse: Yes
Headphones: Yes
OS: Yes
Wifi card: Yes

He just wants maximum gaming performance for the money. He may do overclocking so give him an unlocked processor please. Also i do not know what games he will be playing but with 1800 dollars to spend that will get you about anything, haha.

Thank you all for your help,

Sincerely,

Jason ( That is my real name)

As much as i like the build, the cooler sucks, the 970's can be switched with the 980 and the case is too cheap, i have the case myself, but it doesn't belong in the build this expensive haha.

No point getting a 980 for 1080 gaming also the cooler is perfectly fine. The case is also perfect.

I like that case. I am switching to it to match my black and white mobo. Also, two 970s is better than a single 980!

Yes i know, but a single 980 is better, since there aren't as many issues. Also it is cheaper, and also it doesn't draw out as much power.

2 970's are overpowered for 1080p too haha. There are still many issues with Sli to this date.

I'll have what you're smoking. LiqTech 240 is one of the best 240mm AIOs out there. If not, the best. SLI 970s out-perform a single 980 for only slightly more. I went with SLI 970s in my personal rig for that reason, though a single 970 is enough for me so I'm selling my 2nd. Granted, I wouldn't stick an S340 in a rig that costly. That PSU isn;t great either and it's risky pairing SLI 970s with a 650W PSU. SLI 970s are going to use more power than a single 980, but there aren't actually as many issues with SLI anymore so there is no issue with SLI really.

I'd do something like this personally;

A little more spent on aesthetics or components that won't make a huge performance difference but since a single 970 is more than enough for even 3x1080p panels, you'll be fine, and you can easily add another 970 anyway, if needed.

I personally would get a 980 over a sli 970 especially in a $1800 build, and in the future your friend could sli with another 980. Just my opinion though.
