Well I'm currently 15, and I have a 97' Ford F-150(Nothing special) and i'll be getting a job when I get my license, but will also be saving for a new vehicle.
I'm going to a tech school for Diesel Tech, because I love big rigs, and all diesel vehicles. I also have a love for the 90s' jeep wranglers.
For diesel trucks I'd take a ford 7.3, or even better... A 5.9L dodge cummins! The gas mileage won't be much a difference, I just don't know which to pick.

The tech game may not be the best place to ask questions like these lol I prefer Chevrolet over Ford and Dodge but that's because I'm more of a speed guy than power, I like the Nissan as well but depending on the build I would go with the 7.3
Not that I'm a fan of Ford over Dodge but the F250 series have always looked cool to me. Though the Dodge may be faster.

I'd take a diesel truck over a Jeep Wrangler any day. Since you're going into diesel tech you can fix whatever goes wrong on your truck and save money that way instead of taking it in. If it's highway driving too your diesel truck will love it.

I would go with the Jeep Wrangler. Especially if it has an Inline-6.

I hate when people say these kinds of things on here. Obviously there is a car discussion for people to discuss cars, and 2, not everyone knows jack shit about cars. Just because you are on a tech/modding forum doesn't mean everybody knows nothing about cars. I've said this before in previous forums posts, but please don't profile us all as idiots who are here for mods and tech tips. We have this car discussion obviously for a reason, and that admins/mods felt there was a place for it.
Back on topic, me personally, I would pick the Wrangler. I've owned a Jeep before and some family members have Jeeps that are lifted. This is a biased opinion in a way because I have never owned or driven a diesel truck before. Also, if your going to school to be a Diesel Tech, don't you think it would be best to buy a diesel truck? Kind of put 2 and 2 together. Just my .02.

SRT8 wroteWell said, SRT8. And yes, me being in diesel tech does make me want a diesel truck. I think i'd rather have a diesel truck but I also have knowledge on regular gas engines. To me they go hand in hand, they're right beside each other, and I just don't know :pTheHyperFlow wrote The tech game may not be the best place to ask questions like these lol
