Just wondering what monitor i should get..
ASUS MX299Q 29-Inch Ultra Wide or ASUS MX279H 27-Inch Screen

Doesnt have to be one of these was just looking at them. I kinda want a ultra wide, but the 32 in ultra wides are kinda expensive. So im looking for either a 29in ultrawide or bigger regular monitor. Price range is around 450 (not sure i want dual monitors), But any suggestions will help.

Thanks,

Hmmm... Better resolution with the ultra wide, but then again you could pay a little more and get two of the 27 inches and get better resolution

Nothing right now but I will be running triple 1080p panels. I have monitors similar to this one;

They're pretty much the same except mine are VESA compatible.

1440p IPS monitor would suit you well IMO.

Ultra wide's can be very nice and are great for films and Some games,

Some Games won't work with 21:9 aspect ratio and result in black bars or stretching but can be fixed with mods.

Some good information here.

Edit: If you'd like a 1440p Monitor my suggestion would be the Dell U2515H I'll be getting this display shortly for myself.

Here's a review. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
