Yesterday i torrented something (not going to say what) from a very safe place (did a virus scan on it and the full 9 yards). Soon after, my internet began slowing down a lot. I used to be able to watch twitch streams in source quality (1080p) with no buffering, now, even low qualing (240p) buffers every 5 seconds... i was wondering if the 2 are related? should i try a new browser? am i just getting throttled?

also, speedtest still says i have 25 down / 10 up, so idk why i cant even handle low quality

If you downloaded it from Utorrent, the program will still be running in the background unless you tell it not to.

It will continue to send the downloaded data to others so they can have a faster download, again, until you tell it not to.

turned off my router for an hour after killin utorrent, still buffering on low quality twitch streams... any other ideas?

if you exit from utorrent, immediately get the speed back.
