Hello Everybody,

My name is James, I'm currently 15 years old and my future goal is to enter the business field... My dream / Goal is to design and help for a business, if not start marketing, anyway I don't have much background information on graphics for future references and I was wondering if was a good path to take. Right now I'm taking a class at school for dual college enrollment. But only a small part is very basic editing for advertising , and I far passed them. I know with the help of TGG enough people that have the same experience can help me.. If anyone could help me by answering the questions below, I will Rep.

1.My school doesn't provide specifically graphic designing so would do I do to take it to the next level?

2. What does it take to become a professional Designer for companies.

3. Will graphics take me far in life because I currently love editing and doing backrounds for others.

Thank you to anyone who has helped, you will be remembered

Check Out My Latest Edit

Sincerely James

There are different types of graphic design. Are you trying to go into advertising, or something like on a product? The best thing to do right now to expand your knowledge would be to look up some youtube tutorials and advance from there. A lot of people try to start off on their own but fail a few weeks down the road.

To become a professional graphics designer, from my knowledge you have to take a few classes in college and show the company that you want to work for that you can create amazing work. If you produce what you say you can, it will be easier for them to hire you. You could ask Illustrated on site about how to become a better designer.

Like I said above. It depends on what type of graphic design you like to do. I am guessing you like video editing and such. The only thing that I can think of when looking in the long run for video editing and things of that nature are commercials, tv shows, and movies. There really isn't that much of an area for video editors other than those fields.

From what I hear, Graphic designing and such is a hard career, because so many people want to do it.
