Applaud wrote Wasn't the best idea especially if you're making $12/h. If you wanted a nice car and considering you want speed you should've bought an Audi S5. It's still expensive but you won't be paying as much on insurance. Just my opinion.

Insurance on the vette will be a little over 300/month. 263 come January of 2016.

Have fun paying the insurance for that thing every month.

Not worth it at all... Especially with the same amount you're making.

I understand the debt concerns. Granted, I live in a $1100 apartment with my fiancee. BAH covers that. I also have a monthly allowance for food, clothing, etc. And the cost of living is generally lower where I live than most states. Also, my grandmother is reaching her older days and is getting married to a guy who used to do finances for the state, and he's loaded. She's moving in with him and selling her property. (Worth about 300-400k total. She planted tons of pine which is worth bank when it fully grows and you sell the wood). She agreed to pay half of my car loan when she sells it. Should be October or so maybe when she sells it. So I am not worried about debt.

Well, it seems you've got everything thought out and well under control.

Hopefully all goes well and you'll have a nice hot-rod to drive around your community.

Thanks man. I wanted to treat myself to something nice for a change. People here are stressing cost concerns, but they forget corvettes have never been THAT costly. Hell, insurance on a C6 corvette was less than my 8 at 130 a month. But, thank you man! Me too

Don't worry about what he chooses to spend his money on.

I usually try to donate around 10grand a year to different charities. Last year was rough and I only got 7k out but. I don't just splurge a lot of money on myself. After I get this paid off I want to get my fiancee her dream car. (A charger hellcat. She drives a 2012 maxima now)
