I have been on a cruise and it was one of my best holidays Ive had. We flew to Barcelona and the cruise went to places in Italy, France and Monte Carlo. We went with Royal Carribbean on Voyager of the Seas and i would really recommend it. Enjoy your honeymoon

Tiffxny wroteJeez wrote I've been on 4 cruises. 3 of which were Caribbean, 1 of which was a 19 day Mediterranean cruise.
I've basically been to every port in the Bahamas, so I'd say my favorite ones ares: St. Martin, Grand Caymen, Honduras, and Belize.
Half moon Kay and others in that area are awesome too, but one is basically the exact same as the others. So, its gets boring if you have all those ports of call on one cruise.
I've only been on Carnival, though. I have been on the Liberty, Dream, Destiny, and Sunshine. Sunshine was rebuilt in 2013 and I was on the maiden voyage after the rebuild in Europe, which was absolutely awesome.
Deck plan doesn't really matter in my opinion a whole lot UNLESS you like being by yourself most of the time in peace and quiet. I only say this because, obviously, balcony rooms are a lot more expensive. So, if you're not really planning on being in there a whole lot, its not too worth it.
Not to mention there is usually always stuff going on out on the main deck. Parties, music, DJ,s dancing, contests, and more. It's just a blast.
Although, during my European cruise, we had two rooms. One was my mom and dad, and me and my brother had another one. Those both had balcony. We only did it that time because that was our first time in Europe and wanted to be able to see more of the mountain landscape and stuff as we went. It was an awesome idea, but honestly don't thing its worth it in the Bahamas. Theres really not much to see, anyways!
PM me if you need some more info!
EDIT: HEY! Judging but your signature, you must be a Minnesotan. No non-Minnesotan would dare have that displayed... Where are you from?
That's what I was thinking, I was debating on getting the inside room which is least expensive since we won't be in there much. Thanks for all the great input !
PS. I'm from Illinois, skol Vikings!
Not to be a debby downer, but I was born and raised in Wisconsin. Just live in Minnesota now. So, I am a full blown Packer fan and always will be
