Makes me angry when people bash on game and movie remakes before they even release. For example, the new Star Wars and Jurassic Park movies. People were bashing it over a small teaser trailer. They make arguments saying "It's not the original so it's bad." and "They're going to ruin it." We all know it won't relive it's glory but it doesn't mean it's going to be a bad movie.

I can understand where you're coming from here. It does annoy me when people straight up say a movie is going to be crap just because it's a reboot.

In terms of Star Wars it will most-likely be a bad movie.
We will all have our hopes too high for it and it will fall short.

I've got to say that I really hate this in respect to most video games/movies/books, but when they make a Dumb and Dumber Too(2), Zoolander 2, or other things like that I always think it's going to be something really stupid.
They may be hating on the movie for the wrong reason, but a lot of the time sequels are made of good movies because $$$

I can totally agree with you on this one. I literally HATE when friends of mine do this and they are ALL bad about doing it...

Just because people have stupidly high standards doesn't mean the movie is going to be bad. I would say it is more than likely going to be a good trilogy. Star wars is sacred ground. This isn't some 80's buddy cop comedy reboot, this is Star Wars.
They have potential to make massive amounts of money just from merch/other related material alone if its a good movie.
the star wars movies were actually good. dumb and dumber's were not, so of course they are going to spawn a terrible reboot.
All those comedies you liked when you were younger are more than likely going to be bad now but people love their nostalgia. The star wars movies are just as good as they were when they released.

I understand your rant but there's a huge amount of risk in continuing an extraordinary success beyond its limit.
Like when your favourite childhood band comes out of retirement, makes one more album and it just sucks. It's not the end of the world and most people can act like it never happened but for me, it'd change my view on the band's entire career (same with films, games, etc.)
It's unfair to assume that they're going to suck but it's probably because they're scared to see something they care about potentially tarnished

I can agree with this, originals are usually better than remakes but it's NOT always the case.
