Is there an update I need to download first? (xbox one) if so how to I download it. im on gta online and i haven't gotten any notification that I need a compatibility pack
How many people can do them?
The first mission says 2 people but I heard 4 people can do it.

Your xbox should automatically download them.

If you're online it downloaded already.

The first heist is the only one that is two people.

All others are 4 people.

if i want to play with my 2 friends who already did the first one can they invite me to a 4 person one? or do I have to finish them in order( the 2 person one first)

No, it is an automatic update because it is so big.

You have to do them all in order. So yes you will have to complete the 2 person one. But one of them can join you in that even though they have already done it. Remember for to show completion you must be the host also.
