How would i program this to happen? I want to make a program so that when somebody joins my xbox live party or game my router restarts. What i was thinking is that since i already have the person's IP address, just have my computer run a program so that when his ip pings mine it just restarts the router.

VPN wrote Are you scared someone is going to boot you? If so, this idea is ridiculous. You want your router to restart even when your friend joins you?

Im not scared that someone is going to boot me, and no i dont want it to reboot when friends to join, i want the router to reboot when a specific ip connects to mine.I already have the persons ip address.
Edit: if i was scared of getting booted i would get a vpn.

In order to do this you would have to make a program that will tell you the IP's that are connected to you. Then you could add a line of code that will check that list and restart your router. I'm not sure what good this will really do.. If you have someone following you then you have better ways of keeping them away than restarting your router every time they join you.

This is stupid since if you're trying to avert getting DDOS'd by doing this, you'll still have to deal with the downtime when you restart your router.
