Ok so tomorrow Im purchasing my first car, a 2015 Honda Civic SE (I believe its the sedan) and I wanted to hook it up with a pretty decent sound system. I don't know much about cars in general so I figured I would come here for help. I like a lot of bass, but clean, and I like to be able to hear everything clearly. The budget is $400 so lets try to do something with that. I believe I'll need an amp subs and the wires. Hook it up guys! Thanks!

Also you don't need to use all of the $400, if it came to be cheaper that would be amazing.

I kept mine on a budget when I was cheap.
But I think I spent $500

I also had extra things to buy that you most likely don't have to.

I just went with a 12 inch alpine sub from best buy, and got a ported box there as well.

Went to a pawn shop for the amp.

Went to car toys for the wiring kit.

I'd check crutchfield.com

They usually have sub/amp packages.

Well it all depends on how much bass you want, how much space you want to use and the head unit style.

Well I personally like a lot of bass but I like it clean also. I don't want it to take up the entire trunk and if the head unit is the radio then it would just be the stock one.

Well if you want big but clean bass without a shit ton of room id go with either a single 12" or 2 shallower 10"s (a bit more room taken but overall bigger, better, cleaner, symmetrical bass). And as far as the head unit, depending on the package in the car you may want/have to replace it with aftermarket unless you wanna stop and open the trunk every time you wish too adjust the bass levels.

Will they need to be adjusted frequently? Like could I put it at the level I want and just leave it
