In 2009, an expert on how to avoid getting kidnapped in Mexico got kidnapped in Mexico right after giving a lecture on "How to avoid getting kidnapped in Mexico" at a security conference in Saltillo, Mexico.
This is just hilarious xD

Venontix wrote I don't think getting kidnapped is funnyI'm not condoning kidnapping, just sharing the comical irony behind a story. He was killed a few days after, which is a horrible act. This brings up a bigger problem which is the safety of US citizens within Mexican borders, and the Mexican authorities to spot impurities in the daily actions of individuals.

Kinda funny it happened to him when hes trying to tell people how not to get kidnapped.
I would be so scared if I got kidnapped especially in Mexico.

Yeah, mexico's free media and legitimacy is limited from the violence of the people (often due to drug trading). Watched a documentary in AP Comparative Government on a newspaper company called Zeta in mexico city who often revealed drug smugglers and politicians involved with sketchy and illegal stuff. Of course some of their journalists were kidnapped and murdered. It was pretty interesting (and scary to see the shit in the documentary actually happens) and I would recommend watching it. It was called "Reportero" and if you're ever bored you should watch it.
