Here's a tutorial I made for a guy in PM. Hope you find it useful, thank if it is!(:

Make a new account
Click the big ad in the middle saying 'Go Gold'
Click a to go gold
When asked to choose a membership click 'No Thanks'
Then it SHOULD offer you a 1 month free trial
Click yes, you will be prompted to enter credit card details (dont worry you wont be charged)
Then purchase.
If you wanna cancel the auto - renewal, go to [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

This isn't working for me as I have clicked no thanks and then get lead to "Try Gold for Free". I click and then get hit with an error? Anyone else having this error?

Make the account on xbox.com then click xbox live gold and click free one month.
