Every time I go to download something my laptop just freezes and I have to restart any reason to why it's doing this?

it isn't a old laptop I just bought it not that long ago towards the end of November when I go to click download it just freezes doesn't shut it stays on the screen and doesn't unfreeze

What type of items have you downloaded in the past if it's only just started freezing maybe something you put on it is the problem ?

I don't really know a lot about computers, have you downloaded anything dodgy?

The last thing I downloaded was a ff.viewer or a VPN

This is just me but I'd run a full virus check and use CC Cleaner if you can it's a really good file cleaning program

When i use google chrome i have no problem downloading anything internet explorer keeps freezing it which is weird cause thats where i download everything using that browser

Have you tried just Uninstalling it and getting it back ? Most obvious answer but it might work
