Just go with the i3 and 285 idea, also do you know case and power supply you have?

I could try and get them, I built this pc like 2 or 3 years ago but.

Let me check, is there anyway of finding out?

Take off your side panel, and look for indications on the power supply. If there aren't any at all, its safe to assume you need to get that out of there and get a new and good named brand one in there. Also, if your case is like a prebuilt HP tower, toss it. But, if its sizable enough to hold an r9 285, you'll be good for now.

Thats what you're looking at in price, but if you need a psu that will set you back another 30-40 or so, I'm not too good with other currencies. However, just take that price and convert it over into yours. The R9 285 is a 1080p beast to say the least, it out performs the GTX 960, so you're getting a good card. Also, that i3 is a ton better than the g630 you have in your machine, so you'll definitely see a performance boost in that area.

My case is a PGS Aerocool VS4

Never actually heard of that case before, but its alright for now if you get new parts. Although I'd look into getting a new case soon too. But do you know your power supply?

OK, thanks for your help, is there any good pre builds out there for a good price?
obviously building it yourself is cheaper and better but its a lot of hassle.
What about this?

No, that is horrible compared to what I gave. With what I gave you have a dedicated GPU, and a better processor. Also, you don't even know what brand the powersupply they're using in that.

Case is fine. PSU is also fine. Not worth swapping the PSU out unless you can get something larger and better. They're not good quality PSUs(the CX series), but it's fine to hold on to for now, if you need to. If you have £310 to drop on a shitty pre-built, you could grab an i3 and new motherboard for £140. Spend the extra £170 on an SSD and a good quality 550W unit or so, that way you can save for an R9 390(x). 550W unit should be more than enough for a single 390(x) but if you could grab a decent quality 850W unit, you should be good to run XFire 390(x)'s in the future if you ever feel the need to add a 2nd one.
