Messi by far is my favourite footballer, and probably the best player to ever player the game. I wouldn't say he's the best ever for country since he hasn't won a WC like Pele and Maradona but for club level he's the best ever by a mile. What he has achieved is just amazing, and he is so fun to watch.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a brilliant player but he annoys me at times and he isn't as technically gifted as Messi either, but more physically gifted.

Messi is the definition of a footballer, he is technically gifted, makes some of the most talented players look like Sunday league players. He also has passion which I admire. However, you can't deny Ronaldo's ability, but in my opinion he is rated more as an athlete not a football player.

Messi is the better player, the awards prove it.
