I own a PS3 Super Slim edition and I believe the hard drive on it is corrupt.

When the Hard Drive is Plugged in
    Won't go into safe mode
Will turn on but does nothing
Won't turn off once turned on

When the Hard Drive is Not Plugged in
Ps3 Cannot Start the Appropriate System Storage

So I know it's the hard drive but when I put the hard drive into a hard drive reader hooked up to my PC it won't recognize it. Yet when I hook it directly to a sata cable in the PC itself it attempts to boot from the hard drive.

I just would like to know if anyone can help me fix my hard drive/PS3 from the information given above.

Thanks

If there is corruption in the hard drive the best thing to do is to format the harddrive and wipe it clean I know you might not want to do that but if it makes your playstation work then oh well. hope this helped

I'm completly fine with doing anything to make it work. I'm just at a loss for what to do. IT WON'T GO INTO SAFEMODE FOR ANY FUTURE HELPERS. Anything to fix it so I could use it again would be greatly appreciated.
