I've been in a bit of a gaming rut the past month or so. I've been cycling through my Steam library and my PlayStation 4 library, boot up (name a game) for maybe a good 5-20min, quit, launch another title. This cycle happens until I boot up Netflix, buy a new game or my kids wake up and I engage into father mode. My go to game has always been League of Legends, but now I don't feel like playing that and that's how I knew I'm in trouble. I managed to brush this feeling off long enough to beat the new Dragonball Z game, but haven't been able to engage in anything else. I've been wanting to get back into MMO's because usually I can get hooked to those, but I just don't seem to be able to get attached. I re-downloaded Guild Wars 2, Elder Scrolls Online, and Destiny but I just don't feel like playing anything.

I'm sure there are some gamers who have experienced this before. How did you handle this gaming block?

Hmm, never really had this but try thinking or watching stuff about your favorite game maybe it will job a memory of some fun times you had on that game and you might want to play again.

Ive had this multiple times. Try and find a group of friends to play with, this usually works for me!

I'm honestly dissatisfied with the last couple years of gaming.
2012 was a pretty good year but my favorite years were 2008-2009.
Idk, i guess im not into these futuristic game being introduced.
Dont get me wrong games like Destiny are fun but nothing kept me playing like that first borderlands.
It was original and took a risky leap what with graphics, but turned out to be my favorite game of all time.
So personally I just have to stick to the classics and take weekly breaks sometimes.

you want to get back into MMO's? but you never tried world of warcraft. sure it's pricey but you can give it a shot for free 20 levels.
