So, I'm not sure anyone knows but. On New Years Day, I attempted for my fourth time at suicide. I took an overdose, and was rushed to hospital with my mum & my girlfriend. I went to A&E and was then put on a sodium chloride drip for around 12 hours, having ECG's and blood pressure checks regularly I must of gone to the toilet about 40 times that night, but everytime I stood up I practically feinted, the doctors were a bit useless tbh and I had to constantly drag myself to the toilet with my girlfriends help. Then, I stayed over night until the morning, and I was seen by the mental health team, because uh yeah I just tried killing myself. Then, I was told they wanted me to stay overnight again, because it was still in my bloodstream and I discharged myself and was told that by doing so I was risking permanent muscle and liver damage, and I regret leaving so much. But, I couldn't deal with it at the time. So I just left. Then, I found out... 2 weeks later that my girlfriend was pregnant she had conceived the day before Christmas Day, and whilst I was in hospital she was pregnant.

I'm now on 60mg of Citalopram, 80mg of Concerta, 60mg of Medikinet and 25mg Risperidone.

There's alot more to the story, but I really don't like talking about it but, our baby. Died on the 17th of February 2015, from a miscarriage. So, I don't even have that after coming out of hospital.

People don't understand what depression can lead you to do, people think it's a choice to be sad & depressed or that we don't try to be happy. Some people see us happy and think that's how we actually are but most of us just put a hypothetical mask on to hide our true feelings.

People commit suicide all around the world everyday, and it's horrible. Bullying being a huge cause of suicide. I just wanted to share this, because I'm sure there are people with depression on here and I think alot of them need a sigh of relief to know there are people who understand how it feels.

Let me know what you guys think of it, I shared my story maybe you can share yours?

I think people mock it because they dont understand it and plus they think that it is unreal I mean you just got to live past it and live life because you only get one and its the biggest prize anybody can have taking your life is something I never want to here because my close friend commited suicide and you dont just take a huge chunk out of yourself but out of everybody around you please just think twice and talk to somebody.

My cousin , killed himself in 2011. So, I understand the loss of someone close to suicide.

People are different I personally find talking to someone about my problems very beneficial, I speak to my counsellor once a week and he makes me get my life on track.

I think it is horrible when people mock depression.

I can admit, even though it's not easy to, but I guess I am a bit depressed, due to a lot of things happening in my life. I am only 16, and I can't say it's an extreme depression, like I don't even understand it myself. It just started with anxiety then paranoia.

But seriously, some people don't understand the actual meaning of depression, and think it is some kind of excuse. Well, it's a serious condition. I am sorry for your loss.

I understand where you coming from & I'm sorry to hear about what you go through. Some people lives are so perfect & don't have to worry about sh** like everyone else & they think it's funny to see some guy or girl to hurt themselves & call them weird or crazy for doing so. All I have to say is that everyone lives isn't as easy as others.

I think the problem with depression is too many people who are depressed feel like they can't do anything about it, and they make up excuses or blame it on someone else.

I don't care what you've been through or who you are, you are the only problem maker in your life because you can always find a way to change things. Only you, nobody will do it for you and I think thats what people don't realize.

Don't take this as me hating on you or anyone who has been depressed, you have a truly sad story and I give my sorrow to you.

But always remember you are the person who ultimately controls your life.

You're absolutely right, I agree with you. That's why people need to grow courage and get the confidence, to gain their mental health back. It's a fight that can be won, but it can only be won if you want to win it. You have to really really want to be better.
