Hmm, the games you want to play are not that heavy tbh. Get at least 4gb of ddr3 ram, dedicated gpu. 400+ watt psu, aftermarket cooler like the hyper evo by cooler master. It all depends on resolution and the settings you plan to run. r9 270 or 280 gpu maybe if playing at 1920 x 1080

Can't help without a budget and currency. Need to know if you need peripherals and if you'll overclock. Need to know hat the system will be used for. Also, when where the CPU and mobo purchased, and for how much? It would be worth returning them if possible, most likely.

Although the 6300 is still a good CPU, it just doesn't cut the cake in comparison to Intel. My 6300 runs great, but at 4.5GHz because at 3.5, it's slow as a snail.
more cores, but lower per core performance.

I didn't understand any of that. If you're trying to put a new mobo into a shitty case, it doesn't surprise me that it's not working. Since the 6300 and mobo were purchased 4 days ago, yes, it's worth returning. Whether you think you "dnt need intel" or not, you should return the 6300 and go with an i3/i5 which will be a similar price anyway.

Don't lie to the guy. An Asus mobo and a 6300 will work just fine. I have an Fx-4300 I got on sale and I run a lot of my stuff at High with little to no lag. Skyrim, Call of Duty, Etc.

IF you're not planning anything BIG, don't spend the extra money that will just be wasted on lack of use. Also, a Power switch only uses 2-pin connects. Not 9. If it has 9, that case is most likely REALLY out dated or something. You can pick up a case for $30-40 at Fry's or online at Newegg/Amazon. Note they won't be great.

How much money do you have to spend now?

Edit: I know someone will attack my post..Yes, I know AMD isn't the best for gaming. But for what I do, my $150 combo deal for a mobo and cpu was great and I've not regreted it for the past year I've had it. I do support Intel as the higher gaming power, but it costs much more!

Show me the lie?

"An Asus mobo and a 6300 will work just fine." not true. An Asus motherboard with Z97 chipset is not going to work with an FX-6300. The Asus motherboard he has is compatible, I never said it wasn't. $40 is enough for a very good case actually. Intel does not cost "much more". An FX-6300 and decent motherboard is going to cost $155, whereas an i3 and decent mobo will set you back $165. That definitely wouldn't be "extra money that will just be wasted on lack of use."
